Senior Engineer, QE

Overview

Senior Engineer, QE responsible for test strategy, test coverage, and building quality-by-design for the team’s features.

What you'll do

• Define and execute test strategies across UI, API, and service layers.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks and performance testing suites.
• Use AI-assisted tools and agentic workflows to speed up testing and debugging.
• Lead risk assessments, release validations, and root-cause analyses for critical issues.
• Implement shift-left practices and enforce quality gates within development teams.
• Partner with developers, product managers, and platform teams to define test requirements and quality practices.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software quality engineering roles.
• Deep proficiency in testing with TypeScript/JavaScript and modern frontend ecosystems (React, Webpack, or similar).
• Expert-level experience with Playwright or comparable browser automation frameworks (Cypress, Selenium WebDriver).
• Strong experience with unit and component testing frameworks such as Vitest, Jest, or React Testing Library.
• Proven track record of designing and building test automation frameworks from scratch or evolving them at scale.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Buildkite, Gitlab or similar) and integrating test suites in them.
