Senior Engineering Manager

Overview

Senior Engineering Manager role leading a team of 15–20 engineers to deliver next-generation platform and product features on time.

What you'll do

• Lead technical leadership by guiding architecture and design decisions.
• Review technical proposals and trade-offs, and establish engineering best practices.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability for systems.
• Own engineering execution by delivering roadmaps on time and with quality.
• Manage project planning, resource allocation, risk assessment, and dependencies across initiatives.
• Partner with Product Managers and collaborate with cross-functional teams on roadmaps and priorities.
• Improve engineering processes like CI/CD, testing, observability, and release management.

What you'll need

• 14–18 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in backend systems and platform engineering.
• 6+ years managing a high-performance team of 20+ engineers.
• Strong programming expertise in Java, Scala, Golang, or similar backend technologies.
• Hands-on experience with distributed data processing and streaming (Apache Spark, Apache Flink, Apache Kafka).
• Distributed data technologies and NoSQL databases experience (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB, HBase, DynamoDB).
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
