Senior Engineering Manager - Partner Ecosystem

Overview

Lead the evolution of Airbnb's third-party supply integration platform, which connects third-party property management systems at scale, and set its growth strategy, technical roadmap and AI strategy.

What you'll do

• Lead the evolution of a world-class supply integration platform to take the third-party supply ecosystem to a new level.
• Set the third-party supply growth strategy and technical roadmap in collaboration with the cross-functional leadership team.
• Set the technical and AI strategy for the platform, staying at the forefront of technology to improve its capability, efficiency, quality, and scalability.
• Build, grow, and mentor a high-performing engineering team, providing people and technical leadership across multiple projects.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders as the senior technical voice, aligning priorities and driving delivery.
• Partner with senior leadership across Data Science, Product, and Business Development to align strategies, define multi-year technical roadmaps, and set and execute on iterative milestones.
• Work directly with business and third-party partners to select the right partnerships, deliver high-quality integrations, and ensure the continuous reliability and performance of each partner.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of engineers, helping them grow their careers, technical expertise, and collaboration skills.

What you'll need

• 12+ years of overall engineering experience with 5+ years managing a team in a fast paced, high growth tech environment.
• BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• Significant experience navigating many internal partners across multiple teams, driving the strategy and alignment to move the business forward, including navigating dependencies, competing priorities, and demonstrating curiosity while providing direction.
• Experience building, leading, and architecting full-stack products and systems at enterprise scale with a great impact.
• Experience in applying modern artificial intelligence technologies to products and development cycles.
• Technical leadership: hands on experience leading project teams, setting technical direction and strategy, and working cross functionally with Product and Data Science teams.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, including working across teams, influencing others, assessing the tradeoffs of different approaches, and communicating technical initiatives to both technical and non-technical teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with designing and building external facing APIs and AI Agent Integration.

Details

• US - Remote Eligible; the role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed with your manager.
• You must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity; certain states are excluded.
• Pay range: $248,000 to $310,000 USD base pay; may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
