Overview
Build full-stack Real User Monitoring features that capture, process, query, and visualize high-volume telemetry from browsers and mobile devices. The role spans frontend experiences, backend services, APIs, storage, and observability workflows.
What you'll do
- Build and evolve full-stack RUM features across frontend, backend services, APIs, and storage systems.
- Design systems that ingest, store, and query high-volume, high-cardinality telemetry.
- Develop performant query layers and APIs for real-time exploration of sessions, traces, and events.
- Build data-heavy frontend applications for debugging performance and understanding user behavior.
- Optimize data models, indexes, queries, latency, and analytics costs.
- Own projects from design and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
- Collaborate with SDK, engineering, product, and solutions teams on RUM workflows and roadmap development.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience.
- Frontend experience with TypeScript and React.
- Backend experience; Go is preferred.
- Experience operating distributed systems in production.
- Experience with high-throughput, high-cardinality data.
- Experience designing APIs and distributed services.
- Familiarity with cloud-native systems and observability concepts.
Nice to have
- Experience with browser or mobile instrumentation and RUM SDKs.
- Mobile development experience or familiarity with mobile performance telemetry.
- Contributions to OpenTelemetry or other observability open-source software.
- Experience building developer-facing platforms or observability products.
- Familiarity with session replay, sampling, or user behavior analytics.

- Remote role in Canada.
- On-target earnings/base compensation: CAD $164,490–$197,389 yearly.
