Overview

Senior IT Analyst for Applications (Supply Chain Applications) in the Order Fulfillment & Procurement - CAT IT Division, providing functional and technical solutions and collaborating with a global team.

What you'll do

• Work with a team of 8 members within the Global Team/Vendor organization, developing functional expertise and ownership for Supply Chain functional areas.
• Actively collaborate with business stakeholders to develop and implement IT solutions, ensuring full integration with existing systems.
• Review and approve code changes to ensure compliance with technical and organizational standards.
• Provide development teams technical oversight, feedback, and guidance, ensuring robust and functional solutions.
• Work closely with project managers to define timelines, manage costs, and establish project goals.
• Partner with architects to ensure IT solutions align with business and technical objectives.
• In collaboration with developers and data scientists, ensure timely and effective delivery of IT controls for the Supply Chain team.

What you'll need

• Ability to collaborate with an extended professional technology network to help effectively identify, plan, and accomplish technology objectives.
• Experience providing direction and mentoring developers and analysts across various systems/applications, technologies, services, and solutions, preferably in the Supply Chain technology domain.
• Knowledge of application design activities and deliverables; ability to utilize application design methodologies, tools, and techniques to convert business requirements and logical models into technical application designs.
• Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools, and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, or application.
• Experience evaluating, learning, and advising on emerging technologies and their impact on IT and the business.
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Bachelor's Degree or related certifications.
• Experience working with technologies that include AWS, Snowflake, Hive, PySpark and Big Data.

Nice to have

• Additional technical experience with Neo4j graph database, integration middleware technologies, and application architecture with strong Supply Chain knowledge.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and standards to ensure the secure design and implementation of technical solutions.

Details

• Location: Bangalore, Karnataka (preferred base: Bangalore, Caterpillar PSN).
• Work mode: onsite, five days a week.
• Shift timing: 01:00-10:00 PM IST.
• Travel: may require 10% travel.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.
