Overview
Lead SoC debug, micro-architecture, and integration for System-on-Chip designs from initial specification through tape-out and post-silicon support.
What you'll do
- Lead SoC debug, micro-architecture, and integration from initial specification through tape-out and beyond.
- Drive and implement SoC design methodology and practices across different business lines.
- Sign off RTL, timing constraints, CDC, and RDC.
- Work with verification, DFT, synthesis, and other functions to achieve production-quality silicon.
- Document SoC design and micro-architecture for use by other SoC functions.
- Provide debug design support for silicon-related debugging during the post-silicon phase.
- Drive issues to closure and work with cross-functional teams on issue resolution.
What you'll need
- 5-10 years of experience in IP/SoC design with successful delivery of production-quality chips.
- Experience in all aspects of the RTL design flow, from specification and micro-architecture definition to design.
- Experience with Arm Cortex-M/A/R processor-based SoC debug infrastructure, including ARM CoreSight, ETM, STM, DAP, CTI, JTAG, SWD, Trace32, ARM Debug, and ARM Trace integration exposure.
- Good knowledge of digital design and hands-on experience with Verilog RTL coding and integration of debug logic.
- Firm understanding of and hands-on experience with chip assembly, IP integration, RTL signoff tools, and CDC/RDC/Lint/Synthesis.
- Strong domain knowledge of clocking, reset, system modes, debug, interconnect, safety, security, and other architectures.
- Know-how of serial interfaces, multimedia, and external bus interfaces.
- Self-motivation to drive issues to closure.
- Team-player approach and willingness to work with cross-functional teams on issue resolution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative problem-solving skills and logic analysis skills.
- Ability to logically break complex problems down into manageable components.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with computer architecture, including knowledge of microprocessors such as ARM and RISC-V.
- Knowledge of bus protocols such as AXI, ACE, APB, and ATB.
- Knowledge of CPU architecture, CoreSight, and peripherals such as PCIe, USB, and DDRs.
