Senior Lead Engineer

Overview

Senior Lead Engineer for embedded platform software, working in a sprint team to develop, enhance, and maintain mission-critical platform software.

What you'll do

• Work as an independent contributor in a sprint team developing and maintaining mission-critical platform software.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain platform software.
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with German teams.
• Build and nurture offshore teams by developing strengths and improving weaknesses.
• Lead and motivate the team on future technologies.
• Maintain team integrity and work ethics.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of experience in embedded software development.
• Excellent understanding of system software concepts, binary executables, debug information, and OS concepts.
• Strong C and C++ programming skills.
• Good knowledge of Linux shell scripting and Python.
• Strong RTOS concepts with experience with multicore/multi-threading and hypervisor using VxWorks on PowerPC and ARM.
• Experience with board bring-up, Linux device drivers, board support package, bootloader, and initialization software.
• Expertise with software configuration management and change control processes (DOORS, JAMA, SVN, JIRA, GIT).

Nice to have

• Prototyping, design, and architecture skills.
• Exposure to ARINC 653 software specification and IMA.
• Avionics domain knowledge, standards, and DO178 guideline.
