Senior Manager, Data Science and AI

Overview

Senior Manager, Data Science and AI in Pfizer’s Global Commercial Analytics team, leading end-to-end AI technical architecture, development, and deployment for commercial initiatives.

What you'll do

• Define and own end-to-end AI architecture from raw data to model inference and application.
• Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems and retrieval optimization.
• Architect multi-agent and agentic orchestration systems (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI).
• Develop, review, and own production-quality code across the AI stack using Python, SQL, and related frameworks.
• Build and maintain MLOps pipelines for training, evaluation, CI/CD, and production monitoring.
• Own data strategy including schema design, data quality, lineage, governance, and access controls.
• Set technical standards and mentor engineers; translate technical concepts to stakeholders.

What you'll need

• 9+ years of progressive, hands-on experience in software engineering, AI/ML, and data architecture.
• Experience building and shipping production systems.
• Practitioner-level expertise in Generative AI including LLM integration, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, context management, and output guardrails.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science/engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field (or equivalent demonstrated expertise).
