Senior Manager - Industrial Engineering

Overview

Senior Manager – Industrial Engineering role at Flex, located in Sriperumbudur, Chennai, managing a team of engineers and technicians on work measurement and workforce efficiency.

What you'll do

• Manage a team of engineers and technicians to establish work measurement programs.
• Analyze work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
• Analyze workforce utilization, facility layout, and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
• Recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocating work stations and equipment, and purchasing equipment.
• May develop management systems for cost analysis, financial planning, wage and salary administration, and job evaluation.
• Demonstrate functional, technical and people and/or process management skills, as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
• Demonstrate knowledge of multiple functional technologies, processes, industries or functions and the interdependencies of such processes at the site.
• Use office tools as required, including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation packages.

What you'll need

• Typically 15+ years of Industrial Engineering experience, including supervision.
• Typically a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training.
• Good knowledge of employment law and company practices, with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
• Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
• Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference in practical situations.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Nice to have
