Senior Mechanical & HVAC Engineer – Data Center - Chennai / Noida / Hyderabad

Overview

Senior Mechanical & HVAC Engineer responsible for data center cooling strategy, engineering calculations, detailed design, and client technical leadership.

What you'll do

• Act as the primary HVAC technical interface with clients and stakeholders.
• Lead data center cooling strategy and cooling system design (air- and water-cooled).
• Perform and review heat load, hydraulic, airside, and CFD/thermal analyses.
• Develop HVAC design deliverables including BOD/DBR, technical narratives, and IFC-level documentation.
• Coordinate with electrical, structural, architectural, fire protection, and BIM teams.
• Provide technical support during construction, inspections, and data center audit activities.
• Lead and mentor HVAC engineers and BIM modelers with design quality and risk management.

What you'll need

• 10–18 years of experience.
• 5+ years in data center or mission-critical projects (mandatory).
• Experience with data center HVAC systems including chillers, CRAH/CRAC, AHU, pumps, and DX systems.
• Solid understanding of Uptime Tier III/IV requirements and mission-critical redundancy/reliability.
• Capability to do CFD modeling and airflow optimization.
• AutoCAD (mandatory for concept design).
• BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Mechanical Engineering.
