Principal Engineer- HVAC(MEP)

Overview

Principal Engineer – HVAC (MEP) for AECOM’s Building Engineering team in India.

What you'll do

• Perform quality control reviews of HVAC design calculations and drawings.
• Prepare technical specification sections for HVAC systems.
• Lead HVAC system design for complex commercial, residential, and data center projects.
• Conduct energy modeling and analysis to optimize HVAC performance.
• Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines for integrated design.
• Ensure HVAC equipment and component selection and sizing.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the design team.

What you'll need

• 10 to 15 years of relevant experience.
• Master of Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited college/university.
• Experience in retail and hospitality medium to large projects.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE/CIBSE/NFPA standards and regulations.
• Experience across commercial, residential, datacenter, and infrastructure projects from the USA, Canada, and ANZ region.
• Proficiency in HVAC design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar BIM tools.
• Knowledge of energy modeling software such as eQUEST, EnergyPlus, or IES-VE.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
