Senior Network Engineer

Overview

Senior Network Engineer responsible for network infrastructure, deployment, and operational tooling for an exchange/trading platform across cloud and on-prem environments.

What you'll do

• Own, operate, and optimize resilient, ultra-low-latency networks and physical data-center infrastructure for institutional trading connectivity.
• Design and maintain routing and traffic-segmentation architectures using BGP, OSPF, VRFs, PIM, IGMP, and high-availability platforms.
• Deploy and operate firewalls and secure connectivity across Fortinet and Palo Alto, including IPsec and SSL VPNs.
• Drive observability using SNMP, gRPC telemetry, and latency/packet-loss analysis, plus network automation with Python or Ansible.
• Lead safe production changes, incident response, failover testing, and out-of-hours maintenance with on-call rotation.
• Mentor engineers and partner with SRE/Infra, Product, and trading-system teams to improve reliability and reduce single points of failure.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of network, infrastructure, or SRE engineering experience with ownership of production systems.
• Hands-on expertise in multicast networking, BGP, OSPF, VRFs, high-availability architectures, and low-latency switching.
• Experience leading live incident response for production trading systems and coordinating cross-functional resolution.
• Experience with Fortinet or Palo Alto firewalls and VPNs, plus SNMP or gRPC telemetry.
• Network automation experience using Python or Ansible and strong Linux networking fundamentals in latency-critical environments.
• Familiarity with exchange or electronic trading system concepts (deep crypto experience is a plus).
