Senior Network Engineer

Overview

Senior Network Engineer to build, operate, and maintain Twilio’s global corporate network infrastructure, including VPN/ ZTNA connectivity to cloud systems.

What you'll do

• Build, operate, and support the global Twilio IT network infrastructure.
• Track network assets including network hardware and software.
• Monitor network performance, availability, utilization, throughput, and latency; provide metrics to IT leadership.
• Respond to incidents by troubleshooting escalated connectivity issues and performing root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with security and engineering teams to develop a secured global network infrastructure.
• Develop methods and tools to test and implement new LAN/WAN systems.
• Create and maintain documentation for network design, standards, and processes.

What you'll need

• 7+ years’ experience building campus and/or data center network infrastructure.
• 5+ years’ experience with Cisco LAN/WAN/WiFi and Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
• 3+ years’ experience with AWS cloud services and networking.
• Advanced knowledge of IEEE 802 standards and core IETF networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching).
• Hands-on knowledge of network monitoring.
• Proficient client networking skills on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
• University degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

• Remote role based in India (Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Maharashtra, Delhi).
• Approximately 15% travel anticipated.
