Overview

Senior Network Engineer to build, operate, and maintain Twilio’s global corporate network infrastructure, including VPN/ ZTNA connectivity to cloud systems.

What you'll do

Build, operate, and support the global Twilio IT network infrastructure.
Track network assets including network hardware and software.
Monitor network performance, availability, utilization, throughput, and latency; provide metrics to IT leadership.
Respond to incidents by troubleshooting escalated connectivity issues and performing root cause analysis.
Collaborate with security and engineering teams to develop a secured global network infrastructure.
Develop methods and tools to test and implement new LAN/WAN systems.
Create and maintain documentation for network design, standards, and processes.

What you'll need

7+ years’ experience building campus and/or data center network infrastructure.
5+ years’ experience with Cisco LAN/WAN/WiFi and Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
3+ years’ experience with AWS cloud services and networking.
Advanced knowledge of IEEE 802 standards and core IETF networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching).
Hands-on knowledge of network monitoring.
Proficient client networking skills on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
University degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
