Senior Payroll Executive

Overview

Senior Payroll Executive role supporting payroll, invoicing and reconciliation for a UK medical recruitment business.

What you'll do

• Process timesheets accurately and ensure timely completion within agreed deadlines.
• Support weekly payroll runs and weekly/monthly invoicing activities.
• Process and validate self-bill reports, rota and related payroll data.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly operational reports.
• Perform YTD reconciliations and support payroll and finance data validation activities.
• Investigate and resolve payroll and invoice queries in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with Finance, Recruitment and Credit Control teams to resolve issues and meet deadlines.
• Maintain accurate records and identify opportunities for process improvements.

What you'll need

• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in payroll processing.
• Proven experience leading a team.
• Experience in processing high volumes of data.
• Proven experience in handling payroll and invoice queries.
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems and processes.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field.
• Certification in Payroll (CIPP or equivalent).
• Experience within the medical recruitment sector.
