Senior Platform Engineer

Overview

Senior Platform Engineer designing, building, running, and evolving tools, infrastructure, templates, and capabilities used by other engineers to deliver business value.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with customer-facing product engineers to design, build, and run customer value-focused platforms.
• Write software and tooling to automate operations for platforms, infrastructure, environments, and tooling.
• Create standardized tooling for deploying and running applications using best practices.
• Maintain infrastructure to ensure reliability, security, and scalability.
• Make platforms self-service, secure, and available within minutes without human approval.
• Write deployment and operations automation code using languages such as Python and Go.

What you'll need

• Experience with the Full Cycle model: Design, Build, Change, and Run.
• Experience as a Software Engineer/DevSecOps/DevOps/SRE/System Engineer in a cloud environment.
• AWS Infrastructure experience is essential.
• Container technology experience: Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Scripting/programming skills including PowerShell, Bash, Python, YAML, plus Windows/Linux server experience.
• Infrastructure as Code experience with CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK, and/or AWS CodeBuild/CodePipeline (CloudFormation/Terraform/CDK and CodeBuild/CodePipeline highly regarded).

Nice to have

• Advanced knowledge in Kubernetes networking, security, and controller/operator.
• Experience with testing tools such as Blazemeter (highly regarded).
