Senior Platform Security Engineer (Cloud)

Overview

Senior Platform Security Engineer (Cloud) to own security standards and automated guardrails for non-production cloud environments, enabling engineering teams while keeping platforms secure.

What you'll do

• Author, maintain, and update technical security policies for all non-production environments and developer labs.
• Establish, run, and scale automated auditing and drift-detection frameworks for long-term compliance.
• Mobilize and align local security champions across engineering teams to execute environment security plans.
• Architect and build reusable security capabilities for shared resources and core cloud environments.
• Monitor emerging threats and regulatory changes, updating non-production platforms and policies proactively.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison between engineering teams and the central security organization for environments.

What you'll need

• Have 5 to 8 years of industry experience.
• Bring hands-on experience in DevSecOps, cloud security engineering, or systems engineering focused on securing non-production infrastructure.
• Demonstrate experience writing technical security standards and designing automated configuration-auditing frameworks at scale.
• Show stakeholder management skills to guide distributed engineering teams and motivate security champions.
• Have deep knowledge of threat modeling, network segmentation, secrets management, and access control strategies in test/lab environments.
• Possess advanced AWS cloud security knowledge including IAM policies and Security Group configurations.
• Have policy-as-code and compliance tooling experience such as OPA, Kyverno, AWS Config, or custom auditing scripts.
