Senior Platform Software Engineer, DriveAV - Autonomous Vehicles

Overview

Senior software engineering role on an autonomous driving software team, focused on adapting and integrating NVIDIA's AV software platform for customer vehicle environments.

What you'll do

• Adapt the AV software platform to customer ECUs and vehicle environments.
• Engage with customer teams to productize platform integration workflows.
• Analyze, debug, and fix software platform component bugs.
• Deliver high-quality software releases to customers.
• Improve integration efficiency for autonomous vehicle simulation and car platforms.
• Develop platform software, tools, filesystem customizations, and software integrations.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of relevant work experience.
• BS or MS degree in an engineering or computer science-related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with ADAS or autonomous driving software stacks.
• Proficiency debugging from application to kernel level on embedded hardware.
• Working knowledge of Linux and QNX, including device drivers.
• Strong C and C++ programming skills and familiarity with build systems such as Bazel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with automotive software using camera, radar, lidar, GPS, or ultrasound sensors.
• Experience developing software for heterogeneous architectures with GPUs or other accelerators.
• Knowledge of ASPICE and ISO26262 process standards.
• Experience working across international functional organizations.
