Senior Power System Engineer - Renewable & Data Center Integration

Overview

Senior Power System Engineer focused on renewable and data center integration, supporting ERCOT and transmission interconnection studies for utility-scale generation and large electronic loads.

What you'll do

• Lead and support large load and generation interconnection studies in ERCOT and other transmission systems.
• Apply and interpret NERC, FERC, ISO/RTO, and TSP requirements for generation and large load interconnections.
• Develop and validate steady-state models in ETAP and PSSE, and dynamic models in PSS®E and PSCAD.
• Support integration studies for PV, wind, and BESS resources and associated control strategies (PPCs/MPCs).
• Participate in EPC HV/MV substation design studies for data center and utility-scale PV/wind/BESS projects.
• Support microgrid design and control studies at MV and HV levels.
• Support RTDS/RSCAD CHIL testing and perform analyses such as load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, and harmonics.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of relevant experience in power systems planning and interconnection.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems preferred).
• Experience with PSS®E dynamic modeling and analysis.
• Experience with PSCAD EMT modeling.
• Experience with ETAP steady-state and protection studies.
• Demonstrated experience with large load interconnection studies (data center experience strongly preferred).
