Senior Procurement Architect (P4/P5) – Procurement Boundary Applications & IT Procurement

Overview

Senior Procurement Architect (P4/P5) serving as the functional and architectural lead for Procurement boundary applications within the SAP S/4HANA landscape, bridging Procurement, Enterprise Architecture, Integration teams, IT delivery, vendors and business stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Define and maintain the target architecture for Procurement-related boundary applications.
• Ensure alignment of procurement solutions with SAP S/4HANA standard capabilities and enterprise architecture principles.
• Drive application rationalization and reduce duplicate functionality and custom solutions.
• Evaluate new procurement technologies, platforms and vendor solutions.
• Lead architecture and integration design for boundary applications such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, Jaggaer, Ivalua, E2open, supplier portals, contract lifecycle management, supplier risk and compliance solutions, procurement analytics platforms, vendor master governance solutions, invoice automation, catalog management, expense management and procurement reporting platforms.
• Define integration patterns between SAP S/4HANA and procurement boundary applications using APIs, middleware, event-based integrations, EDI/B2B, and file-based integrations where required.
• Ensure end-to-end transaction integrity across source and target systems.
• Provide architectural guidance across source-to-contract, source-to-pay, procure-to-pay, supplier collaboration, strategic sourcing, vendor onboarding, contract management, requisition management, purchase order processing, invoice automation and supplier performance management.
• Support S/4HANA transformation initiatives and procurement modernization programs.
• Review vendor proposals and validate architecture recommendations.
• Challenge solution designs for scalability, supportability and cost optimization.
• Participate in design reviews and architecture governance boards.
• Define the testing strategy for procurement boundary applications and ensure integration, SIT, UAT and regression testing readiness.
• Identify architectural risks and mitigation strategies.
• Support deployment planning and production readiness assessments.
• Drive vendor master data governance and procurement master data strategy.
• Establish controls for procurement data quality and lifecycle management.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and governance standards.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of Procurement, Supply Chain, or SAP Procurement experience.
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise architecture or solution architecture roles.
• Multiple SAP implementation or transformation programs.
• Experience with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA procurement processes.
• Strong knowledge of Procure-to-Pay, Source-to-Pay, strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract management, procurement operations, and direct and indirect procurement.
• Experience with SAP MM, SAP Ariba, SAP S/4HANA Procurement, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), middleware platforms, API architecture, integration design, master data management, and procurement reporting platforms.
