Job description

Overview

Senior Product Manager on AlphaSense's Expert Research team, building AI-powered capabilities that turn expert call transcripts into insights such as patterns, shifts, contradictions, and outliers for buyside investors.

What you'll do

  • Act as the voice of the buyside customer by running regular user sessions to shape and execute AI product strategies that address user needs and business goals.
  • Work side-by-side with engineering, design, and product marketing to build, launch, and optimize AI-first solutions for customers.
  • Collaborate with PMs across AlphaSense to ensure insights are built as a composable, system-wide capability.
  • Analyze market trends, emerging AI capabilities, and competitor moves to identify opportunities.
  • Define and maintain a clear, prioritized roadmap with conviction about what is being built and why.
  • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation and experimentation through launch, post-launch analysis, and iteration.
  • Push for better accuracy and speed, testing tools against real-world investment scenarios to ensure reliability.

What you'll need

  • Buyside intuition: understanding of how investors build conviction, where their information gaps are, and what makes information actionable versus noise.
  • AI-first product mindset: hands-on experience leveraging LLMs, ML models, and AI pipelines to solve complex data and workflow problems, including understanding the difference between retrieval, synthesis, and interpretation.
  • Analytical and data-driven: comfortable with data analysis and SQL, able to evaluate quality in AI-generated outputs, design experiments, and build measurement frameworks.
  • Clear, persuasive communicator who can articulate product strategy and tradeoffs to engineering, design, and executive stakeholders and write clearly.
  • Adaptable and execution-oriented, able to adjust and iterate quickly and proactively address challenges and risks in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

  • Direct experience as a buyside investor or building products for this persona.

Details

  • Location: New York, New York, United States; or remote within the United States.
  • Base compensation range: $177,000 to $220,000 USD. Final offers may vary based on experience and expertise, and roles may include a performance-based bonus, equity, and a benefits program.
