Overview
Lead the product and systems work behind how Konnect makes money, owning the commercial operating layer that turns what Sales sells and what customers use into invoices.
What you'll do
- Set a multi-year direction for how Konnect prices, meters, entitles, and invoices, deciding what becomes shared platform capability versus feature-specific and sequencing delivery.
- Build a unified entitlements model that is defined in contracts, enforced in-product, honored by provisioning, and reflected in billing.
- Act as the product and systems counterpart to Monetization, translating pricing and packaging decisions into production: configuring plans, reshaping metering, updating contracts, coordinating customer migrations, and protecting existing revenue during rollouts.
- Run the event pipeline, aggregation layer, and reporting experiences that show customers their consumption and charges, holding a financial-grade bar on accuracy, auditability, and reconcilability.
- Own self-serve checkout and the subscription lifecycle, including plan discovery, payments integration, subscription state, retries and dunning, and customer billing admin surfaces.
- Connect enterprise sales and channel motions to the billing stack, including CPQ-to-entitlement sync, bespoke contract handling, invoice-based billing, and marketplace billing across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Replace manual, high-touch provisioning and fulfillment with productized, automated workflows, including migrating off the current metering and billing system to a target stack that supports the new pricing and packaging framework.
- Define domain health metrics, including net revenue retention, billing-driven churn, invoice dispute rate, collections aging, and billing support ticket load, and use them to set priorities and hold the team accountable.
What you'll need
- At least 6 years of product management experience in SaaS.
- 2 or more years of product management experience directly in a billing, monetization, or pricing domain.
- Ability to reason about the moving parts of a billing stack well enough to co-design architecture with engineering.
- Experience carrying a pricing or packaging change from proposal through to production, including financial modeling, plan configuration, grandfathering logic, migrations, sales enablement, and customer communication.
- Experience building or scaling consumption-based monetization, with an understanding of the tradeoffs between simplicity, accuracy, and customer trust when metering drives the invoice.
- Ability to pull your own numbers using SQL, Snowflake, Hex, or equivalent, and to use data to set priorities.
- Direct experience working with Stripe or a metered billing platform (Metronome, Orb, OpenMeter), not only through an engineer.
- Experience holding billing surfaces (plan pages, checkouts, invoices, usage dashboards) to the same design standard as the rest of the product.
- Experience working in or adjacent to API, infrastructure, or developer-platform products, and comfort with the associated technical context.
- Ability to independently define and execute a long-term vision to bring billing, fulfillment, and provisioning to best-in-class.
Nice to have
- Experience leading an end-to-end pricing transformation or building a billing system from scratch.
- Experience shipping cloud marketplace integrations (AWS, GCP, Azure) or Salesforce CPQ-to-billing integrations.
- Proficiency using LLMs and coding agents as part of day-to-day product management workflow.
