Senior Product Manager II

Overview

Senior Product Manager II to own Alation's connector portfolio end to end, making it fast and easy for customers to bring rich, valuable metadata into AIOS.

What you'll do

• Own the Connector mission: make it fast and easy for customers to bring rich, valuable metadata into AIOS
• Drive the strategy for 80+ existing integrations, including what to deepen, what to optimize, and what to sunset
• Lead expansion into new systems and entirely new categories of data sources as the AI landscape reshapes what "a data source" means
• Turn ambiguous problems into clear direction, scoped bets, and shipped solutions
• Talk to customers constantly to validate direction, pressure-test ideas, and iterate fast
• Work directly with engineering to define requirements, reason through tradeoffs, and move quickly
• Apply AI strategically across the connector portfolio, both in the product and in how you work
• Raise the bar on how we build, not just what we build

What you'll need

• 5+ years in product management, engineering, or similar problem-solving roles
• A track record of shipping real products or systems that customers used and cared about
• Strong analytical thinking and comfort operating in complex, technical domains
• Sharp written communication, including PRDs, specs, narratives, and decision docs

Nice to have

• Degree from a top-tier institution (IIT, IIM, XLRI or equivalent)
• Experience with enterprise data environments, data integration, metadata management, or developer-facing products
