Senior Program Manager - APSS Linux Android, CPU SS & Multimedia Technologies

Overview

Lead software and technology program management for APSS Linux Android, CPU SS and Multimedia Technologies across Qualcomm Snapdragon Mobile, Compute, XR/VR and Gaming product segments. Manage planning, development and delivery across multiple technology areas and product segments.

What you'll do

• Manage planning, development and delivery of software spanning multiple technology areas and product segments.
• Collaborate with impacting technology areas such as BSP, Modem, Connectivity and Multimedia, and business units.
• Drive requirements scoping, analysis and planning, including interdependencies, staffing constraints, schedule optimization across multiple technology teams and customer connect.
• Establish clear Plan of Record commitment and drive prioritization.
• Manage software deliverables, risks and risk mitigation.
• Establish execution discipline and communications processes covering risk management, mitigation, tracking, schedule trends versus baseline, recovery actions, executive reporting and stakeholder communications.
• Develop program indicators to manage program health, including quality and timelines.
• Partner with functional areas to establish critical processes supporting disciplined product development, decision making and quality.
• Coordinate across multiple development sites as required.
• Develop and establish processes that streamline the development cycle and integrate multiple plans, dependencies and deliverables.

What you'll need

• 15-18 years (max) of experience in a combination of software product development and program management in the semiconductor/wireless industry.
• Experience and domain knowledge of wireless/semiconductors.
• Experience with end-to-end product integration.
• Experience managing software products through the entire development life cycle.
• Experience in 3rd party OS software program management/development.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Required bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• 4+ years of Program Management or related work experience.
• Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years of work experience: Master's equals one year and Doctorate equals two years.

Nice to have

• Master's in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Business Administration.
