Senior QA Engineer, AVP

Overview

Senior QA Engineer (Assistant Vice President) responsible for test delivery and test automation within the Cards sub-domain at Deutsche Bank, Pune.

What you'll do

• Be accountable for overall test delivery covering all activities within the Cards sub-domain (programme test management).
• Work with the testing team to develop testing strategies, plans and deliverables related to sub-domain applications.
• Take part in the Software Development Lifecycle from requirements analysis through maintaining test cases, developing test automation features and testing software.
• Create test cases, develop test automation features and execute test activities across different test environments.
• Drive development of high-quality, mostly automated test solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements.
• Actively participate in and contribute to sprint activities and ceremonies (daily stand-up, sprint planning, retrospectives, refinements).
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sprint objectives.
• Track and report testing activities, including test results, test case coverage, required resources, defects discovered and their status, and performance baselines.
• Champion and participate in the activities of the broader QA & Testing community.

What you'll need

• Broad and profound understanding of test strategies, test infrastructure set-up, test data management and overall test management.
• Strong experience in requirements analysis for test case creation and test execution of user stories using tools such as Karate API automation framework, Postman, Performance Centre, SQL Developer, Quality Centre/ALM, Confluence and Jira.
• Strong experience required in REST API, JSON, XML.
• Pro-active team player with good communication skills and good English language skills.
• Experience with Agile/SCRUM environments, including agile tooling and methodology, together with knowledge of cards.
• Bachelor's degree from a college or university with a focus on IT or data evaluation and/or comparable professional experience.
• Should have experience in Java, Selenium and Rest Assured tool.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
