Senior QA Technical Lead

Overview

Senior QA Technical Lead on the quality assurance team for Windchill (PLM Segment), responsible for testing several functional areas in Windchill from Pune.

What you'll do

• Develop, publish, and implement test plans.
• Write and maintain test automation and automated test scripts.
• Follow quality assurance standards and processes.
• Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.
• Perform a variety of quality assurance tasks.
• Follow disciplined software quality assurance practices.
• Participate in the software development lifecycle through design, development, and testing phases.
• Actively collaborate with developers, the QA lead, and the product manager to shape the product and deliver product releases.
• Provide feedback to the team on product quality, call out risks and issues, and balance quality with time-bound delivery from a release perspective.
• Work with the QA lead to come up with a testing strategy for a given release, with inputs from the team as needed.
• Understand the product domain.

What you'll need

• 6 to 10 years of experience with hands-on Web UI automated and manual testing.
• Good understanding of different automation tools used for Web UI test automation, with command expertise in at least one of them for testing.
• Good experience with version control tools such as Git, SVN, etc.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and working knowledge of SDLC.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Selenium, Playwright.
• Strong problem-solving, math and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the software quality assurance field.
• Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Nice to have

• Functional knowledge of Windchill, including Windchill Quality Solutions.
