Senior Sales Engineer - Majors (East)

Overview

Enterprise Sales Engineer providing technical expertise to help qualify and close opportunities, including sales presentations, product demos, and technical evaluations during customer trials.

What you'll do

• Partner with the Sales team to articulate Datadog’s value proposition and strategy to customers.
• Provide technical engagement with customers during the trial phase.
• Communicate Datadog’s value and work with customers on identified issues to a successful conclusion.
• Technically close complex opportunities using competitive knowledge and credibility.
• Deliver product and technical briefings/presentations to potential clients.
• Maintain accurate CRM notes and feedback, including customer wins and losses.
• Engage with customers and Datadog business/technical teams on product feedback and competitive landscape.

What you'll need

• Minimum 3+ years in a Sales Engineering or DevOps Engineering role.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to understand and articulate business value proposition and technical advantages.
• Experience with programming/scripting: Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.JS, PHP, or .NET.
• Ability to sit up to 4 hours.
• Ability to travel up to 45% of the time.
• Ability to travel via auto, train, or air to and from client sites.
