Senior Sales Engineer - Majors, Texas

Overview

Senior Sales Engineer on the South Majors team in Texas, reporting to the Senior Sales Engineering Manager for the Americas Field Sales team. The role architects technical solutions that resolve customer pain points and acts as technical advisor through the sales cycle.

What you'll do

• Architect technical solutions that directly address and resolve critical customer pain points
• Serve as a technical advisor throughout the sales cycle, aligning Zscaler solutions with customer goals and technical requirements
• Create and deliver technical product presentations to prospective customers, promoting the value proposition of Zscaler products
• Gather customer technical requirements to ensure proposed solutions meet customer goals and needs
• Lead product evaluations and custom product configurations
• Run Proof of Value from start to finish, as the technical and industry expert
• Oversee the technical sales process
• Collaborate with and support internal Zscaler teams

What you'll need

• Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, with a proven history of integrating new technologies to enhance daily workflows and augment problem-solving
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Systems Integrator
• Knowledge of network security technologies
• Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions to optimize outcomes within your functional domain

Nice to have

• Industry certifications including CCNP, JNCIP, PCNSA, CISSP, or CCSP
• Experience working with large enterprise and major accounts
• Strong AI fluency by leveraging coding assistants, LLMs, and Generative AI tools to accelerate troubleshooting, solution design, automation, and customer problem-solving, while applying sound technical judgment to validate outputs

• Base pay range $154,875 to $221,250 USD, excluding commission/bonus/equity (if applicable) and benefits
