Senior Sales Engineer - Majors (UK/Nordics/Netherlands)

Overview

Senior Sales Engineer (Enterprise Sales Engineer) providing technical expertise to support sales presentations, product demos, and technical evaluations. Works with Sales to qualify and close opportunities and supports product feedback through customer/competitive input.

What you'll do

• Partner with the Sales team to communicate Datadog value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
• Own technical engagement with customers during the trial phase.
• Technically close complex opportunities using competitive knowledge and technical credibility.
• Deliver product and technical briefings/presentations to potential clients.
• Maintain accurate CRM notes and feedback about customer input, including wins and losses.
• Engage with customer and internal business/technical teams to share product feedback and competitive landscape updates.

What you'll need

• 3+ years in a Sales Engineering or DevOps Engineering role.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience programming/scripting with one or more: Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.JS, PHP, or .NET.
• Ability to understand and articulate business benefits and technical advantages.
• Ability to travel up to 45% of the time (via auto, train, or air).
• Ability to sit up to 4 hours while traveling to and from client sites.
