Senior Servicenow Developer

Overview

The Senior ServiceNow Developer will design, implement, configure, develop, test, troubleshoot and support ServiceNow applications, modules, enhancements and integrations, including ITSM, CSM and Custom Applications.

What you'll do

• Implement core configuration user stories with minimal guidance across service catalog, catalog items and record producers, knowledge bases and articles, notifications, assignment rules using advanced work assignment, and SLA configurations and workflows.
• Deliver projects implementing Workspaces and Now Assist.
• Participate in and lead design workshops, development, testing and deployment activities.
• Lead the design and implementation of ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, CSM and Custom Applications.
• Build ServiceNow reports, dashboards and homepages.
• Set up data security through control rules and domain separation.
• Implement integrations using Integration Hub and relevant Spokes.
• Administer a ServiceNow instance, including group roles, permissions, business rule modifications, workflows, UI pages, UI actions and UI policies.
• Execute unit testing to confirm user stories meet acceptance criteria.
• Troubleshoot complex platform issues and ensure a high level of reliability and user satisfaction.
• Peer review other developers’ user stories.
• Provide technical documentation as required.
• Develop, manage and configure ServiceNow applications, modules, enhancements and product development, and perform some system administration tasks.
• Coach and guide junior developers on best-practice approaches, involving technical leads as required.

What you'll need

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, a similar technical discipline, or comparable industry experience.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification.
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification.
• 6 to 8 years in ServiceNow configuration and development experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting the implementation, administration, configuration and/or development of the ServiceNow tool.
• Experience delivering projects for implementing Workspaces and Now Assist.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication skills to translate technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently as an energetic self-starter in a fast-paced environment.
• High sense of ownership, responsibility and commitment to quality.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting deadlines.
• Effective organization, collaboration, planning, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good hands-on knowledge and experience with any one or more of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AJAX, Angular and Bootstrap.
