Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Senior Software Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of complex features and technical initiatives, help shape platform architecture, and provide technical leadership through mentoring and standards.

What you'll do

• Own complex features and technical initiatives from inception through production.
• Shape the architectural direction of the platform.
• Lead decomposition of a monolith into Event-Driven, Microservice architecture.
• Make independent, well-reasoned design decisions.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to engineering strategy.
• Serve as a credible technical voice with product and non-technical stakeholders.
• Apply quality practices (SOLID, TDD/BDD) and a Security First mindset to prevent critical security issues reaching production.

What you'll need

• Strong production experience with C# / .NET Core and scalable backend services.
• Proven experience designing and delivering microservices or decomposing legacy monoliths.
• Strong grasp of event-driven architecture (messaging systems, service buses).
• Experience with Azure PaaS and Kubernetes.
• Frontend familiarity with TypeScript and React.
• Demonstrable experience with TDD/BDD, automated testing, and maintaining high test coverage.
• Track record of mentoring engineers and contributing to technical standards.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
