Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Senior Software Engineer responsible for improving reliability, resiliency, observability, scalability, and availability across critical platform and application services using SRE practices.

What you'll do

• Lead moderately complex initiatives and technical deliverables.
• Plan strategies for large-scale technology programs.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document technology projects.
• Review and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Lead teams and projects to address client and operational needs.
• Collaborate with engineering peers and managers on technical challenges.
• Guide less experienced staff and act as an escalation point.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work, training, military experience, or education.
• Deep expertise in at least one platform domain, such as database, cloud, network, compute/storage, middleware, or enterprise application support.
• Hands-on SRE experience with SLI/SLO definition, error budgets, and reliability metrics.
• Experience troubleshooting large-scale distributed production systems.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell.
• Experience with observability tools, APIs, Git-based workflows, and engineering practices.
• Understanding of incident, problem, and change management in enterprise production environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with capacity management, performance engineering, and resiliency design.
• Experience operating in hybrid on-premises and cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Ansible or Terraform.
• Experience mentoring or leading senior engineers in reliability, operations, or SRE roles.
