Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Senior Software Engineer role on the Open Banking Platform Engineering team, focused on improving developer experience through innovation and problem-solving.

What you'll do

• Participate in team prioritization discussions with Product/Business stakeholders.
• Estimate and own delivery tasks across design, development, testing, deployment, configuration, and documentation.
• Automate build, operate, and run aspects of software.
• Drive trade-off discussions for code, design, and processes as needed.
• Report status and manage risks within the primary application/service.
• Drive integration of services with a focus on customer journey and experience.

What you'll need

• Advanced skill in software architecture.
• Intermediate skill in automation and DevOps.
• Intermediate skill in cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Advanced skill in software development.
• Intermediate skill in container-based software deployment practices.
• Beginner to intermediate skill with Kubernetes or managed Kubernetes services.
• Ability to write secure code in three or more languages (e.g., C, Golang, Python, Terraform, JavaScript) and familiarity with secure coding standards (e.g., OWASP, CWE, SEI CERT).
