Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Senior Android Engineer role on Procore’s Product & Technology mobile team, focused on designing and building customer solutions on the Android platform.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with project stakeholders to design and build Android customer solutions.
• Act as a go-to technical expert and representative for your technical area.
• Set technical and procedural standards with advice and decision-making.
• Handle the full development lifecycle, including operational support and incident resolution.
• Lead architectural design decisions using a customer-centric approach.
• Improve teammates through code reviews, mentorship, pairing, and training.
• Impact scalability, performance, and new value delivery on projects.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of engineering experience.
• 3+ years building native Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Broad and deep understanding of Android architecture components including Room, LiveData, Jetpack, and Compose and MVVM architecture.
• Experience with RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of multi-threading, concurrent programming, and performance optimization.

Nice to have

• Experience with Coroutines and Flows.
• Experience building apps with offline capabilities.
