Senior Software Engineer - CPD (IAM)

Overview

Senior Software Engineer for Rubrik’s Continuous Product Delivery (CPD) team, focusing on identity and access systems for on-premise data backup & management.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and harden identity and access flows using OIDC/OAuth 2.0 and SAML 2.0.
• Own token and assertion lifecycle correctness (issuance, validation, expiry, rotation, and failure handling).
• Apply applied cryptography/PKI practices such as X.509, key rotation, and TLS to secure the authentication path.
• Build and maintain reverse-proxy/HTTP-layer components including TLS termination and header handling.
• Debug and resolve customer-facing identity/access issues and triage escalations with support.
• Write and enhance end-to-end tests for auth flows, failure modes, and edge cases.

What you'll need

• Minimum 8 years of experience.
• Strong hands-on programming in Golang.
• Deep knowledge of identity protocols OIDC/OAuth 2.0 and SAML 2.0, including internals and failure modes.
• Applied cryptography/PKI experience with X.509, JWT/JWKS, key rotation, and TLS.
• Security engineering discipline for threat-model reasoning.
• Solid understanding of OS fundamentals, networking, and concurrency.
• Working knowledge of Linux and comfort writing shell/bash scripts.
