Software Dev Senior Engineer -Golang and Cloud experience is a must

Overview

Senior software engineering role developing secure, scalable Go-based services and full-stack capabilities for SonicWall's Network Security Manager platform across cloud-native and on-premises environments.

What you'll do

• Lead system design from requirements decomposition through deployment topology, data modelling, and API contracts.
• Develop and maintain high-performance Go microservices for cloud and on-premises deployments.
• Build and evolve RESTful APIs for enterprise-scale use.
• Implement certificate-based trust using mTLS for service and client communication.
• Apply secure development practices addressing OWASP Top 10 risks.
• Instrument services with structured logging, distributed tracing, and metrics.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, and product teams on roadmaps, estimates, and technical risks.

What you'll need

• At least 8 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, or 6 years with a master's degree, or 3 years with a PhD, or equivalent experience.
• 5 to 8 years of software development using Golang on Linux or macOS.
• Experience designing distributed systems and multi-tenant SaaS architectures.
• Experience with microservices, REST, gRPC, event-driven patterns, and WebSockets.
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, threat modelling, and secure code review.
• Experience with MongoDB, AWS, Kubernetes, and observability tools.
• Familiarity with networking security, firewall policies, SD-WAN, and VPN topologies.
