Overview
Senior Software Engineer on the Iris AI team, designing and running cloud services that power Delinea’s AI features for security use cases.
What you'll do
- Build and run scalable backend services in C#/.NET, Python, and Go on Azure and Kubernetes.
- Create LLM-powered features including model integration, context pipelines, RAG, tool calling, agents, and evals.
- Design event-driven, asynchronous architectures across microservices.
- Own end-to-end delivery, including Terraform, CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response.
- Collaborate with product, UX, and other platform teams and participate in code/design reviews.
- Develop and work with AI features using coding agents to write and review code.
What you'll need
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years designing and building production backend services in C#/.NET, Python, or Go across the full SDLC.
- Hands-on experience building products with LLMs such as inference, structured outputs, RAG, tool calling, or agents on Azure AI Foundry, OpenAI API, Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, Anthropic API, or similar.
- Fluency with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) with spec-driven, context-aware, verified output.
- Strong grasp of distributed systems, API design, microservices, and experience with a major cloud provider.
- Solid understanding of multi-tenant SaaS architecture and operating at scale.
Nice to have
- Experience building tools/APIs/integrations that AI agents call (e.g., MCP servers, function/tool-calling interfaces, plugins).
- ML and MLOps depth including fine-tuning, eval harnesses, and production model deployment/evaluation.
- Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipeline experience.
- Identity security, PAM, or Zero Trust background.

- Work location: U.S. Remote.
- Reports to the Director of Engineering, Iris AI.
