Senior Software Engineer, Prisma SD-WAN (Platform & Networking) - NetSec

Overview

Senior Software Engineer for Prisma SD-WAN (Platform & Networking) focused on platform lifecycle and core networking across SD-WAN next-generation platforms.

What you'll do

• Own product design from conceptualization through implementation and deployment.
• Develop functional specifications and assess task requirements and scheduling.
• Work across development phases from definition and design to implementation, test, and field deployment.
• Innovate new product features using feedback from customers, partners, and support engineers.
• Identify product features for improvement and innovation.
• Troubleshoot product changes to maintain high-quality design outputs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including ASIC, Hardware, Diags, Manufacturing, Quality assurance, and Customer Support.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of professional software development experience in Linux systems programming and networking software.
• Strong hands-on programming skills in C/C++, Python, or Go.
• Experience with Linux Kernel, user-space drivers, and system bring-up (FPGA, PHY, Optics, or Storage controllers).
• Deep understanding of the TCP/IP stack (ARP, IP, ICMP, TCP, UDP) and Layer 2/3 routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
• Strong experience with multi-core, multi-threaded programming and debugging Linux kernel performance or memory issues.
• Familiarity with DPDK, x86 architecture, and high-availability (HA) failover mechanisms.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
