Senior Software Engineer- Salesforce

Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will deliver Caterpillar’s Digital Salesforce projects across design, development, configuration and deployment. You will build Salesforce applications, coordinate work with others and work independently with minimal management input and review of end results.

What you'll do

• Deliver Caterpillar’s Digital Salesforce projects from design, development, configuration to deployment.
• Build a world class platform while delivering against common department goals in line with CAT Digital Strategy.
• Manage the completion of your own work assignments and coordinate work with others.
• Drive application deployment focused around delivering business valuable features.
• Mentor and assist software engineers, providing technical assistance and direction as needed.
• Maintain high standards of quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
• Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
• Guide the team to develop structured application/interface code, new program documentation, operations documentation and user guides.
• Work along with other applications and Marketing Cloud Applications and build robust applications in Salesforce according to business requirements.
• Perform other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.

What you'll need

• At least 7+ years of professional experience as a Salesforce Developer.
• Solid experience working with clients across cloud transformation projects with focus on at least 3 of the Salesforce major platforms: Sales Cloud, CPQ, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud or Communities.
• Proven experience with APEX, LWC, Visualforce pages, API programming, JavaScript, HTML, CSS or HTML5.
• Experience integrating 3rd party applications into Salesforce using Web based technologies, including Soap and Rest API.
• Experience with integration or Middleware and CI/CD automated jobs using Jenkins.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, data governance and management best practices.
• Experience with common integration patterns used between legacy systems to integrate with Salesforce platform.
• Experience in Agile Methodology or SDLC practices.
• Experience delivering component, product and/or enterprise architecture in public cloud and/or hybrid eco-systems.
• Understanding of enterprise data integration and analytical platforms.
• Experience with Tier 1 – Tier 3 support teams.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt and learn new technologies and be passionate in updated trends.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Excellent command of English with the ability to communicate professionally.

• More than one Salesforce Certification.
• Architect Certifications.
• Platform Developer 2 certifications.
• Experience in Salesforce Omnistudio.
• Experience in holistic SFDC solutions with a customer 360-degree view and personalized services.
• Experience in B2C Commerce and marketing.
• Extensive experience and domain knowledge in the manufacturing or automotive industries.
