Senior Software Engineer, SAP Finance AR/AP/Banking

Overview

Senior Software Engineer (SAP Finance) delivering end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions across GL, Asset Accounting, AP, AR and Banking, integrated with Order to Cash, Supply Chain and Manufacturing, in a SOX and GxP environment.

What you'll do

• Design and implement SAP S/4 HANA solutions across General Ledger Accounting, Asset Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Banking, including the DME Engine and Operational Accounting Processes.
• Own full end-to-end SDLC delivery from design and build through testing, deployment and ongoing support.
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to improve costing accuracy, close efficiency, reporting transparency and operational controls.
• Execute and support Finance Period-End activities, including planning, monitoring and issue resolution.
• Manage the complete invoice lifecycle: processing, validation, payment execution and vendor reconciliation.
• Oversee AR processes including billing integration, cash application, dispute resolution and reconciliations.
• Lead efficient payment processing and bank integrations, ensuring compliance with treasury and financial regulations.
• Drive seamless integration across O2C, P2P, Supply Chain and external systems, bridging SAP Finance with MM, SD, PP and CO.
• Leverage AI and intelligent automation to improve month-end closure time and period-end close decisions; use GenAI tools for documentation, test automation and root cause analysis.
• Ensure strong financial controls and audit readiness in line with SOX and GxP requirements.
• Partner with global business and IT stakeholders to drive process optimisation and continuous improvement.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science or a related field.
• 8–11 years of SAP S/4HANA experience with at least 2–3 full-cycle Finance implementations.
• Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance functionality.
• Cross-module integration experience across MM, SD, PP and CO.
• Basic ABAP debugging skills and technical integrations.
• Proven experience in SOX and/or GxP regulated environments.
• Experience delivering full lifecycle projects in S/4HANA Finance, including integration with Materials Management, Manufacturing, Sales & Distribution and Costing.
• Experience working in a global environment, understanding global processes, template roll-out, SAP instances, stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Collaborative, global mindset with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Passion for continuous learning, AI adoption and process innovation.

Nice to have

• Master's degree.
• Experience with SAP RISE / cloud migration initiatives.
• Exposure to AI, intelligent automation or GenAI in a delivery context.
• Background in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Knowledge of BW or SAP Consolidation solutions (Group Reporting).
