Senior Software Engineer, Test (Org Modeling)

Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Test) focused on org modeling and building quality systems that improve product reliability and give engineering teams clear test signals.

What you'll do

• Design and build end-to-end quality systems including framework, tooling, and processes.
• Define and guide testing layers (unit, integration, E2E, load/performance, security, chaos) and own key guardrails.
• Work as an active quality partner in squad planning, standups, code reviews, and issue resolution.
• Drive performance and load testing by designing/executing tests and building monitoring dashboards.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD for continuous testing and fast commit-to-production feedback.
• Monitor test results and failures, diagnose root causes, and work to improve defect/signal quality.
• Champion contract testing and chaos/resilience testing to find systemic weaknesses before production.

What you'll need

• Approach testing as an engineering discipline using layered, reliable, maintainable systems.
• Broad expertise across functional, integration, contract, performance/load, chaos, and security testing.
• Ability to read and write code fluently and adapt to the stack.
• Performance and load testing experience including designing tests, instrumenting results, and monitoring trends.
• Familiarity with integrating test automation into pipelines (GitHub Actions, Teamcity, Jenkins, or similar) and deployment processes.
• Working knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL and/or MS-SQL preferred).
• Experience troubleshooting by reading logs and using observability tools to find root causes.
