Overview
Senior Software Test Engineer for a cross-functional team building next-generation digital signage tooling and quality engineering capabilities.
What you'll do
- Validate quality across signage components including content, design, scheduling, integrations, deployment, player performance, reporting, and analytics.
- Troubleshoot issues across cloud and platform services (AWS/Azure, databases, storage, and observability tools) to find root causes and drive resolutions.
- Flag testing, risk, and observability considerations early by writing lightweight test strategy and plans.
- Build automation across API/service, data validation, and UI layers as needed.
- Champion whole-team quality and contribute to non-functional testing like performance, scalability, resilience, and security.
- Translate product intent into clear, testable acceptance criteria and risk-based test strategies.
- Use telemetry, workflow data, observability signals, and CI/CD feedback to prioritize testing and identify quality risks earlier.
What you'll need
- 7+ years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Engineering.
- Strong experience testing API/service, data workflows, and user-facing applications including event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience building or contributing to test automation frameworks across API/service, data, and UI layers using Playwright, Selenium, or equivalents.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Java or TypeScript.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) and troubleshooting across databases, storage, and monitoring/diagnostic services.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices, including automated testing and delivery using GitLab and/or Bitbucket Pipelines.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted development or testing tools, with the ability to critically review AI-generated outputs.
