Senior Solution Architect

Overview

Senior Solution Architect in Cognite’s Technology department and Value Delivery organisation. This customer-facing role leads end-to-end architecture and solution design for industrial customers, supporting integrations and adoption of Cognite products.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end architecture and solution design.
• Define enterprise and solution architectures, integration and data models, ingestion pipelines, and user-facing solutions.
• Support integrations through successful completion.
• Express technical solutions using architecture modeling tools.
• Build relationships with stakeholders, executives, and data managers.
• Train internal teams and partners in areas of specialization.
• Translate customer needs into prioritized product offerings with Sales, Engineering, and Product Management.

What you'll need

• 9+ years of experience working as a Data Engineer.
• Hands-on Python skills.
• Hands-on expertise with software development best practices.
• Ability to contribute code for advanced topics.
• Experience with data integration, data modeling, and related activities.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead, coach, take ownership, and work independently.

Nice to have

• Experience in Data Engineering.
• Experience in Manufacturing, Energy, Oil and Gas, Pharma, or Life Sciences.
• Experience with Cognite data connectors and extractors, SQL, Java, REST APIs, Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud platforms.
