Senior Specialty Software Engineer - Java, E-Trading

Overview

Senior Specialty Software Engineer for E-Trading, working on complex initiatives across supported trading systems and applications.

What you'll do

• Lead or participate in complex initiatives on selected domains.
• Assure quality, security, and compliance for supported systems and applications.
• Review user needs and determine software requirements.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document programs using Agile practices.
• Create test data and conduct interfaces and unit tests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve real-time production issues in trading environments.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of specialty software engineering experience (or equivalent via experience/training/military/education).
• 3+ years designing, implementing, and optimizing low-latency, high-throughput Java applications for financial trading.
• Experience in electronic trading or algorithmic trading.
• Strong proficiency in Java 8+ with hands-on multi-threaded and distributed systems experience.
• Experience developing/maintaining exchange connectivity protocols (e.g., FIX, ITCH, OUCH).
• Experience with messaging systems (e.g., Solace, Aeron) and real-time data processing.
