Senior Staff Backend Engineer

Overview

Lead backend engineering for distributed, scalable, and highly reliable systems supporting large-scale e-commerce products. The role focuses on architecture, technical direction, and collaboration across engineering teams.

What you'll do

• Drive system architecture and design quality.
• Define roadmaps and vision for scalable product growth.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to build open, extensible platforms.
• Align stakeholders and lead engineers on mission-critical projects.
• Decompose complex problems into straightforward solutions.
• Investigate and resolve critical system issues.

What you'll need

• Minimum 12 years of software design and development experience.
• Experience developing with Java and Python.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience designing, building, and deploying scalable, highly available systems.
• Large-system architecture design and development experience.
• Cloud computing experience with AWS.
• Experience with container-based testing environments and the Java, IntelliJ, and Spring environment.

Details

• Location: Hyderabad.
• Hybrid work model with at least 2 days in the office per week.
• Work from home up to 3 days per week, depending on role requirements.
