Senior Systems Engineer I

Overview

Senior Systems Engineer responsible for designing, building, and operating secure, scalable, highly available AWS infrastructure for product engineering teams.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform with modular, reusable practices.
• Operate and support production AWS environments across multiple accounts and regions.
• Develop and troubleshoot GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
• Build and manage containerized workloads on Amazon ECS Fargate.
• Administer and support Amazon RDS PostgreSQL for availability, performance, backups, and recovery readiness.
• Respond to production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive improvements.
• Build operational automation using Bash, Python, and AWS CLI to improve efficiency.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Typically 6-9 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
• Proven experience operating and supporting production AWS environments in enterprise-scale organizations.
• Advanced Terraform skills including modules/providers, state management, drift detection, and safe refactoring.
• Hands-on AWS operations experience across multi-account, multi-region AWS environments.
• Experience building and troubleshooting GitHub Actions CI/CD including reusable workflows and Terraform deployments.
• Strong Linux and Git fundamentals with Bash/Python scripting for AWS CLI automation.
