Senior Systems Engineer - Pennsylvania

Overview

Senior Systems Engineer responsible for public safety system design and implementation for Motorola ASTRO 25 and adjacent technologies for State and Local government agencies.

What you'll do

• Design and implement radio network infrastructure, subscribers, mobile backhaul, WAN, and CEN networks.
• Lead technical aspects of assigned projects through system acceptance.
• Support customer design reviews, staging and acceptance testing, coverage testing, and troubleshooting.
• Perform system buildout, configuration, and acceptance testing in lab and field environments.
• Carry out live system upgrades, cutovers, and system documentation.
• Prepare fleetmap, encryption schema, and radio programming templates.

What you'll need

• Must reside in Pennsylvania for this role.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline and 3+ years engineering/technical experience, or 4-7 years engineering/technical experience.
• Radio frequency and land/mobile radio engineering principles.
• RFDS principles including antenna/cable selection, combiners, couplers, and lightning protection systems.
• Knowledge of P25 land mobile radio terminology and two-way subscriber provisioning.
• FCC licensing and frequency search.

• Remote position with 25-50% travel to support projects in the T3 (Mid-Atlantic) territory, primarily T3 North/Pennsylvania.
