Senior Systems Operations Engineer

Overview

Senior Systems Operations Engineer role supporting large-scale applications and platform engineering operations, including SRE/observability and automation for daily system availability.

What you'll do

• Lead or participate in managing installed systems and infrastructure within Systems Operations.
• Increase system efficiencies and reduce human intervention time for related tasks.
• Review and analyze operational support systems and system management tools to ensure availability.
• Work with vendors and technical personnel to resolve operational problems.
• Lead to meet technical deliverables using technical process controls or standards.
• Collaborate with vendors and technical personnel to resolve issues and maintain availability.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience (or equivalent via work, training, military, or education).
• Sound experience with ITIL processes and scripting technologies with ServiceNow and SRE/Observability.
• 4+ years of production support (L1 & L2) with troubleshooting experience.
• Expertise in SQL Servers or Oracle, Unix, Splunk, AppDynamics, Java or .Net.
• Flexibility to work across multiple technologies.
• Work experience in an SRE environment.
