Overview
Senior Technical Support Engineer for SASE & SD-WAN, focused on architecture, deployment, and optimization of a global network fabric with a security-first approach.
What you'll do
- Lead architecture and design of global SD-WAN overlays and SASE integrations (ZTNA, CASB, SWG).
- Orchestrate migrations from legacy MPLS/VPN to software-defined solutions with minimal disruption.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement and enforce Zero Trust across the WAN.
- Serve as final escalation for complex network outages and identify root causes.
- Analyze traffic and application performance to fine-tune FEC and QoS policies.
- Develop automation scripts using Python, Ansible, or Terraform for repetitive tasks and IaC deployments.
- Challenge and improve existing network operations processes.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience in Network Engineering.
- At least 3 years focused on SD-WAN and/or SASE technologies.
- Advanced, hands-on experience with SD-WAN platforms (Cisco Viptela/Velocloud, Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN, or Fortinet).
- Expertise in routing protocols BGP and OSPF, and tunneling protocols IPsec and GRE.
- Experience with SASE components including ZTNA, SWG, CASB, and FWaaS.
- Understanding of cloud networking concepts within AWS, Azure, or GCP (e.g., Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, Transit Gateways).
Nice to have
- Professional-level certifications such as CCNP/CCIE or PCNSE, or equivalent SASE certifications.
- Proficiency with monitoring and deep-packet analysis tools (ThousandEyes, Wireshark, SolarWinds).
- Experience developing automation scripts (Python, Ansible, Terraform) for network infrastructure.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
