Senior Virtualization Engineer , 9+years, Bangalore

Overview

Senior Virtualization Engineer designing, building, and automating virtualization solutions (primarily Hyper-V) in a large-scale hybrid environment.

What you'll do

• Design and implement Hyper-V clusters and virtualization solutions using Failover Clustering, storage, and networking configuration.
• Drive cluster performance engineering, tuning, and right-sizing using utilization data.
• Build automation and orchestration using Ansible and Terraform for provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle as code.
• Implement self-healing and auto-remediation for host, cluster, and VM health.
• Develop PowerShell automation for provisioning, configuration, reporting, and remediation.
• Support hybrid-cloud integration work including connectivity and workload placement between on-prem and cloud.
• Establish performance baselines, monitoring, and observability for cluster health, capacity, and utilization.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of infrastructure or virtualization engineering, including hands-on Hyper-V design and implementation at scale.
• Strong hands-on experience with Hyper-V and Failover Clustering (VMware vSphere a plus).
• Terraform and Ansible experience for infrastructure-as-code and configuration management.
• Experience implementing or supporting self-healing/auto-remediation for infrastructure health.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting for automation, reporting, and remediation.
• Knowledge of compute, storage (SAN/NAS/S2D/vSAN), and networking as they relate to virtualization performance.
• Understanding of HA/DR, live migration, and workload mobility.
