Service Engineer for Robotics at ABB’s Robotics business, supporting customer service for ABB robotic systems and related automation equipment.
What you'll do
- Execute robot service activities per work instructions, ABB processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
- Deliver installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repair at customer sites.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, software, and PLC communication issues to minimize downtime.
- Provide onsite and remote technical support, including customer training.
- Manage field service activities across India with extensive travel and regular reporting of service status.
- Support robot system integration and recommend improvements to enhance customer operations.
What you'll need
- Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in industrial robotics.
- Hands-on expertise in ABB Robots, robot applications, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Sound understanding of ABB robot programming, operation, maintenance, and application support.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capabilities.
- Good understanding of industrial automation systems and PLCs.
